Our COVID 19 Strategy
How we are reducing the risk of COVID 19 at Meithrinfa Sêr Môr
We take the health and safety of everyone in our Meithrinfa community very seriously. We are working hard and have put extra precautions in place.
All children will sanitise their hands as they arrive at Meithrinfa and go straight to wash their hands after taking their coat off. They then wash their hands regularly throughout the day.
Please see our COVID 19 Policy for more information.

Daily Deep Clean
We carry out hour long deep cleans at the end of the day which includes the use of anti-viral cleaning products. We sterilise all toys at the end of the day and we plan our activities so that we can rotate which toys the children play with. We carry out spot cleans of high traffic areas and touch points three times per day. We also spray the children's bags and coats to reduce the risk of cross contamination between home and Meithrinfa.
We also carry out weekly steam cleans of the room.
Regular Outdoor Play
We regularly access our Nursery garden and our local woodlands each week. This is part of our ethos of valuing outdoor learning opportunities. It is also helpful during COVID 19 as it allows for everyone to get fresh air and it is proven that being outside reduces the risk of contamination and infection.
All toys that have been played with will be cleaned at the end of the day before being put away.
